A brand new surf camp built in traditional
“Uma” style of the Mentawais but with a
twist of 1st world comfort.
Catering for up to 8 guests, the camp is an extremely comfortable and affordable option for surfers of all abilities.
3 twin share “ensuite” bedrooms are
available as individual or block bookings.
Each room is airy with extremely high ceilings, ventilated walls and comes complete with 2 wall mounted fans & mosquito nets. Each ensuite bathrooms has a toilet, basin, tap and shower.
New for 2011/12 is an additional twin share room - located separately from the main building. Its a welcomed addition to the camp and although doesn't have ensuite, it more than makes up for this with it's own balcony with views across the bay
The camp has ample space. An "Al-Fresco"
dining area, separate TV room (with Satellite
TV) and a large decking area (with comfy couches) offers guests plenty of room for relaxation and to find a bit of peace and quiet.
Food
All bookings are provided with 3 daily meals
that are flexible depending on guests preferred times. Breakfast will be a choice of cereals, oatmeal, omelettes, banana fritters,
fruit or pancakes. Lunch & dinner will consist largely of fresh fish or chicken, both served with rice, pasta, noodles & vegetables. Our experienced local chef has
many traditional recipes as well as more modern flavours for
our guests to experience. Please inform us prior to travel if they have any dietary requirements.
Power
The camps electricity is powered by our own generator. We're happy to have it on for our guests at all times - except once everyone heads to sleep.
Internet & Phone
There is no phone signal in the area but we have internet facilities. Use of the internet is available when the generator is running.
