ora Riska is the heart of Mentawai Surf Camp — co-founder, chef, and mother of Thariq, Sacha, and Zacky. A Le Cordon Bleu–trained chef and island entrepreneur, she brings world-class cuisine to one of the most remote surf paradises on earth. Beyond running the camp’s kitchen and housekeeping operations, Lora also serves as Deputy of the Family Welfare and Empowerment Organization of Siberut Barat Daya, where she helps local women develop new skills and sustainable livelihoods. Her kitchen is more than a workspace — it’s a gathering place of warmth, nourishment, and community, where travelers, locals, and surfers from around the world share the same table.
