The Rad Bros & PeiPei Boardriders: Building the Future of Mentawai Surf Culture
Zack and Sacha are the youngest members of the Mentawai Surf Camp family — island kids growing up where the jungle meets the sea. Sons of Diego Riveros and Lora Riska, and younger brothers to Thariq, they represent the next wave of Mentawai surfers and storytellers. Between schoolwork, surf sessions, and life around the camp, Zak and Sacha (@Radbros_)are learning the same values that built this place — respect for nature, curiosity for creation, and care for their community.

You’ll often spot them exploring sandbars, fishing off the dock, or joining surf guests for playful sessions on small days. They’re part of the PeiPei Boardriders grom crew — a group of young local surfers who train, film, and learn together under Diego and Thariq’s mentorship.
Their energy keeps the spirit of the camp alive: open, adventurous, and always smiling in the water. The Rad Bros — our island’s rising surf groms — aren’t just surf guides in training; they’re the heartbeat of PeiPei Boardriders, our youth development club based right here in Siberut. Created by our family, PeiPei Boardriders gives local kids access to surfboards, coaching, and mentorship, helping them turn raw island talent into real opportunity.
Each surf session doubles as a classroom — teaching timing, teamwork, and environmental respect. The Rad Bros embody this bridge between generations: local kids growing into confident surfers, mentors, and future leaders.
By staying with us, you directly support this grassroots movement. A portion of every booking goes toward surf gear donations, contest organization, and environmental education programs that keep the spirit of the Mentawai alive — both in the lineup and in the community.
